G Robert Mount, Founder

Robert served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and was involved in in-flight refueling missions over the Bering Sea during the Cuban crisis. He is also a private pilot, receiving his flight training in South Dakota and Louisiana.

Robert subsequently left the military and worked as a private contractor with the Department of Defense before entering private enterprise.

Robert’s father, Wilbur, and six uncles were U.S. Army and Navy veterans of World War II and Korea and his brother-in-law Thomas Quick (Capt., U.S. Army ret.) served in Special Forces in Vietnam.

After many years in real estate consulting, sales, and marketing in Europe, Robert returned to the United States and founded Mount & Associates, Inc - an electronic funds transfers firm - in 1998, and currently resides in Georgetown, South Carolina with his wife, Ann.

They are the parents and step-parents to four children, Jeffrey, Shelly, Robert and Jonas, and the grandparents of eleven.

Robert knows at firsthand the trauma experienced by members of our military in a time of conflict and the subsequent issues with navigating the VA and other government entities for health and financial assistance. He has - with the founding of Veterans for Veterans - finally realized his ultimate goal of giving back to the community of men and women who defend our country.

Ann K Mount, Co-Founder & Director

Ann's father was a World War II veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force.

Before the US entered the war, he and several of his friends ran away from school in the United States to Canada to join the fight.

When his crew was shot down over Berlin he was the only one to survive and spent two years in a prisoner of war camp in Germany - listed as MIA - before being liberated.

During the war, Ann's Mother - who spoke several languages - worked as a decoder in the basement of the US Embassy in Lisbon, Portugal.

With her parents involved with USAID, Ann had the opportunity to experience life in Africa, Europe

and Asia before coming back to the United States and continuing her marketing career with Mount & Associates, Inc. She is a Co-Founder and an Administrator of Veterans for Veterans.

Jonas D. Mount, Director

Born in the Philippines and having grown up in Europe, Jonas returned to Charleston, SC in 1995 to pursue his education in television and radio broadcasting.

In addition to currently working in real estate and property management, he is an active member of the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors Legislative Group.

Jonas is married to Stephanie Mount and they are the parents of two children, Savanna and Anthony, a U.S. Marine.
